Build your Database

Successful marketing campaigns are well-organized.  They are not run by businesspersons who swipe customer information from any place offering it and throw news of their product in the inboxes of uninterested people.  No.  Rather, successful marketing campaigns are driven by clued-in business men and women who contact customers from their company’s database whose interests are predetermined as relevant to the marketed product.

The backbone of a well-organized campaign is its database.  The importance of building and maintaining a contact list through this database is crucial to a marketer’s success.  If a business operates by an informed database which records the history of each customer, their interests, and any other relevant information, the sales process is infinitely more efficient.  Instead of having to send promotional emails to any names you can get your hands on, a database with a segmented contact list tells you which people are interested in your product, and thus greatly consolidates the marketing process whilst heightening success rates.

  1. Hello
    I set up drip marketing and went to send it and it come up ‘no contacts in contact list’ I’ve tried adding new contacts and i’m so cunfussed it’s said ‘To add contacts, use the Drip Marketing feature in your swiftpage database plug in’ ?? Please help i really would value any extra information you have on drip marketing and how to use it effectivily!

    First you must make sure your UserID has the ability to use Drip Marketing. You can check this by logging into your account manager from our website then going to “Reallocate Services among existing users”. Here you can see the allocated send limit as well as the checkbox for “Use in Drip”, make sure this is checked next to your user and that you have a send limit. Then you’ll want to go back into your database, click on the Swiftpage icon, click on the Drip Marketing Tab and add contacts. To add contacts the Drip Marketing Campaign must have first been launched. Here is a quick start guide that may also help:
