Build your List

Marketing to a database list of names is the easy part – Obtaining, building, nurturing and retaining a list of contacts to market to is the difficult part.  So how do you get the contacts in the first place:

Create whitepapers/articles/podcasts/etc. – Don’t just put them on your site for eveyone to download, make them enter their contact info before you send it on.

Post Purchase – During an online purchase process your customers have already entered in all their contact info.  Include a simple check box that says “I would like to receive more info”.

Fishbowl incentives – “Give us your contact info and be registered to win a free lunch/ipod/consultation/etc.”

Referrals – Make it easy and enticing (promotion) for your current database contacts reffer new contacts.

And the easiest way –

Website form – It is trivial and often overlooked to put a simple form behind a “Sign up to receive more information” link.  We at Swiftpage have been working hard to further streamline this process.  Check out the new List Builder.
