FAQ Friday:What is a mail merge?

What is Mail Merge?

Mail Merge allows your emails to be personalized to each individual you are sending to. Mail Merge fields can be inserted anywhere in your email template. Mail Merge fields automatically populate important personalized information upon sending the email. Mail Merge fields always begin and end with double square brackets, e.g. [[First Name]].

For example, if the Mail Merge field [[First Name]] is placed in your email, each recipient’s First Name will replace the Mail Merge field when the email is sent.

Mail Merge allows you to personalize each individual email while sending thousands of emails at a time.  For directions on adding a mail merge field into your template, click here.
