FAQ Friday: How do I link to or unlink a PDF from my basic template?

PDFs offer an easy solution to ‘attaching’ more information to emails. Swiftpage hosts PDFs so your recipients can quickly download them when they click on a link within your email. Many Swiftpage users link to PDFs to host full articles linked to by a Read More button, to provide specs on a product or property, and to link to important forms such as paperwork for a doctor that needs to be completed before an appointment. An added benefit to linking to a PDF is click-through tracking like you receive with a normal link.

To link to a PDF go to Content Editor > PDF Options. Once there, follow the onscreen instructions to upload and link your PDF. PDFs can be linked to images or text. Keep in mind that each Swift Window can only host 1 PDF.

To unlink a PDF from text simply go to Content Editor > Text Options > Edit Text. Highlight the text that is currently linked to a PDF within the edit text screen. When the text is highlighted, click on the “Remove Hyperlink” button in the toolbar. Once the hyperlink is removed, click Submit.

To unlink a PDF from an image, go to Content Editor > Link to Survey/Web > Remove Image Link > Submit.
