Bright Peak HTML Tip: Removing Underlines from Hyperlinks

One of the most popular requests the Bright Peak designers receive is to make hyperlinks in templates without an underline. It is easily completed by adding HTML styling code to the <a> (hyperlink) tag within the HTML code. Note: This tip may require HTML knowledge and experience.

1.) Identify your link in the HTML code
Looks like: <a href=”http://brightpeak.com”>Visit BrightPeak.com ></a>

2) Choose Color
Color: Orange – Hex Color: #f79646
Hex color codes are the easiest to work with. i.e. #000000 is Black

3) Implementation

Add the following HTML code and update the hex color: style=”color:#f79646; text-decoration:none;”

Looks like: <a style=”color:#f79646; text-decoration:none;” href=”http://brightpeak.com”>Visit BrightPeak.com ></a>

Can I still edit the link after I add this code?

Yes, the best practice to prevent loss of formatting is to start typing your new text in the middle of the old text and delete the edges of old text. This is an easy way to keep formatting.
