A Marketing Moment: Inspiration for Today’s Marketers

Pinterest has become my go-to for everything from recipes to new looks to try. It has even become an inspiration for Marketing Moments. Today’s moment comes from the ‘pin’ seen below. Many of us are working for or running companies that are under-staffed and under-resourced. We have grandiose dreams and goals, but sometimes (maybe most times) fall short. Take heart, you are not alone.

Questions to ask yourself

  1. Start Where You Are… Define where you are either personally or as an organization. Look at the POSITIVES as well as the negatives.
  2. Use What You Have… We can quickly get caught in the language of, “If we only had [insert your need here].” Instead of living in the ‘if only,’ let’s spend some time thinking about what we do have. Make a list of your company’s assests. Include team members, ideas, products, office space, culture, etc. Get creative and celebrate your list of ‘do-haves’.
  3. Do What You Can… Forget can’t for today. What are some actions you and your team CAN take to move your company forward? Put an action plan in place and check-in with each other in a month to see how it is going.
