FAQ Friday: How can I edit the HTML of a template?

In the Basic Editor, you are not able to edit the HTML of the entire template, but you are able to edit the text portions of SwiftWindows one at a time.

  • Click on the SwiftWindow you want to edit.
  • Click on Content Editor > Text Options > Edit Text.
  • When you get into the edit text window, there is a “Source” button on the text toolbar, in the top left-hand corner. Click on the Source button to view the HTML behind the text window.
  • Once you have edited the HTML code as needed, either click Submit to save your changes or click the Source button again to see your changes, and then click Submit.

Note: viewing and editing HTML is recommended for people who have HTML knowledge and experience only.

In the Advanced Editor, you may edit the HTML code by clicking on the HTML button at the bottom left of the editing window. Use our Designer’s Guide to get the best results.
