A Marketing Moment: Inspiration for Today’s Marketers

Have you ever made it to the bus stop just in time to watch your bus pull away? It’s a sinking feeling and if you let it, the feeling can really impede on the rest of your day. Today, Richard Branson reminds us, “Business opportunities are like buses, there’s always another one coming.”

Questions to ask yourself

  1. Identify a time when a business opportunity passed you by.
  2. Did you spend time looking at it as it ‘drove away’ or did you turn around to look for the next one?
  3. How did your decision change your mentality?

    this is a very good reminder to look for the opportunities that are coming and stop working the past opportunities that slipped by. We have an expression that applies in parts of my industry. It is called “working dead horses.” It is a bit crude but take the time to recognize that the deal is dead and move on.
