A Marketing Moment: Inspiration for Today’s Marketers

We all have felt deflated at times when we look at the numbers from the last quarter or the success of a major competitor or the promotion of a co-worker. Rather than staying deflated, Bill O’Reilly offers some ‘like-it-or-not’ wisdom to push us forward.

“For all of its faults, it gives most hardworking people a chance to improve themselves economically, even as the deck is stacked in favor of the privileged few. Here are the choices most of us face in such a system: Get bitter or get busy.”

 – Bill O’ Reilly

Questions to Ask Yourself:

  1. Name a time recently when you felt as though the deck was ‘stacked against you.’ How did you handle it? What was your response?
  2. In your current situation would you say you are most often getting bitter or getting busy?
  3. If you are most often getting bitter, what are some proactive steps you can take to move beyond bitterness?
