The Truth About Email Best Practice

There are tons of ideas out there about what to do with your emails. We’ve told you about a lot of them. While there is certainly value in most of the ideas, the bottom line is this:

The success of your email marketing depends on your ability to proactively discover your own best practice.

Here are the facts:

  • You have a list that is different than anyone else’s.
  • You know your customers better than anyone else.
  • You have unique email data to use to your advantage.

Discovering your own best practice happens when you:

  • Pay attention to what your email reports tell you.
  • Test different methods and move forward with the most successful methods.
  • Ignore some of the ‘best practice’ wisdom and go with your gut.

Your best practice is yours and yours alone. Some learnings cannot be applied to all. Take a proactive stance to learning about your recipients and deliver on your learnings. Before you know it, your best practice will emerge.
