A Marketing Moment: Inspiration for Today’s Marketers

Today’s moment focuses on the idea of ‘doing the right thing.’ In business, sometimes the line of what is right and what is actually done is fuzzy. In today’s digitally social world, we are often quickly slammed when we don’t do what is right.

“Next to doing the right thing, the most important thing is to let people know you are doing the right thing.”

– John D. Rockefeller

Questions to Ask Yourself:

  1. What does doing the right thing mean for marketing?
  2. Name a time in recent history when your company did the right thing and a time when you did the wrong thing. Why was each decision made and how was the decision reached?
  3. When you do the wrong thing, what are some proactive steps you can take to right the wrong? How does righting the wrong benefit the business?
