My kids and I love NatureSweet Cherub Tomatoes and Sunbursts (the little yellow ones — so good!). When they are in season we have a constant supply running through our house. Recently, I noticed a little quote on the bottom of the label. They say things like, “If salad is a bed of greens, Cherubs Tomatoes are tasty pillows.” Here’s a picture of some of our recent labels:
Ok, so what does this have to do with marketing? The little quotes probably don’t take much time generate or add much cost to print, but the labels bring a smile to my face every time I read them. I love when companies do a little something extra to bring a smile to my face. Another company who does it is Red Robin. Next time you are there, read the underside of the boxes on the table featuring the new menu items.
The big question today is: How can you do a little something for your customers to make them smile? Maybe it’s changing up your automatically generated email, adding something funny to your packaging, printing quips on the back of your business cards or adding a one liner to your receipts.
We all need to smile a little more and giving your customers a smile is one way to make their days better while building your brand. Try it!
